Den Sidste Viking

Client: Zentropa

For the feature film Den Sidste Viking, we headed over to Sweden with Zentropa to capture high-speed driving sequences. By utilizing the Radical Arm paired with the Shotover G1 gimbal, we had a versatile setup that allowed the DP to reframe quickly and capture multiple angles in a single session.

Field Rigging and Logistics

The logistics for this shoot required a full effort from the team to maintain a tight schedule. We packed down the entire system at our base, transported it to the Swedish location, and handled the full rigging and gimbal balancing on-site. The efficiency of the Radical system meant we could transition from arrival to "camera ready" rapidly, ensuring we maximized the available daylight for the action scenes.

Efficient Turnaround

Once the sequences were wrapped, the entire system was de-rigged and packed for transport the same evening. This "plug-and-play" approach allowed us to get the shots the production needed, sleep over, and be back on the road the following morning. It was a quick, efficient turnaround that kept the production on schedule without sacrificing the technical quality of the driving shots.
