Professional Drone Crew and Aerial Cinematography in Norway.

We make ideas understood

Motion Air was founded on the belief that every good idea deserves to be understood. And our favourite way to communicate an idea is through moving images. With cameras mounted on drones, cars and helicopters – just about anything – we specialize in high end shots our clients aren't able to capture by themselves.

Motion Air has delivered aerial cinematography and specialized filming services for small, medium, and large productions in Norway and internationally since 2014. We are proud to be part of the Norwegian film industry, where our drone crew and specialists bring decades of combined on-set experience to every production we support. We provide drone filming and camera car services in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and across Europe.

We operate under the EASA regulatory framework and are approved by the Norwegian CAA for Specific Category drone operations. We hold the necessary permits for urban and close-proximity flights, and we carry full liability insurance that meets the requirements of major international productions. We have worked with productions from Netflix, Apple TV+, Zentropa, Fenomen and many more, giving us broad experience and practical knowledge to draw on.

While working freelance as a camera operator and DP, he started early building skills in Steadicam operation based on training by film legends Garrett Brown and Jerry Holway.

During the 2000s and 2010s he was and still is one of Norway's top steadicam operators. He worked extensively on Norway's best selling cinema releases since 1975, Max Manus: Man of War.

After years of stabilizing cameras manually, Paal has transitioned into working with cutting edge electronic stabilization technology over the past 15 years. Combined with a passion for flying, he is our Chief Drone Pilot and also Helicopter aerial DP.
